So, this news has been out for a while, but I should announce it here, huh? The image above (and 3rd feature in the video) is a graphic created by me that will be in the upcoming HD digital release of (my favorite Dreamcast game) Jet Set (Grind) Radio! I'm so happy! This game has made a huge impact on my personal art and it's a honor to be a part of this game! Literally a dream come true!
Boy times sure has moved quickly. I've been out of school for a year now! Some quick things to report. I'm working with a pretty cool videogame shop in North Jersey - doing webdesign and some promotional material. Very exciting as I'm a fan of the vidja' games. A children's activity book I've been working on has wrapped and I'm looking forward to seeing the printed pieces. I think those are some of the more personally exciting ventures for me. And as always I'll throw in some little art workings I've done lately. OH YEAH. MY GRAFFITI WILL BE FEATURED IN A VIDEO GAME. Which one? Well, I'll let you know when they do the official announcement. But really, how many games prominently feature graffiti? There's updates? What? Yes! New stuff in design and illustration! Oh and here's page from a project I'm working on! Wha? Corporate design? Yes, I do that too. It's not all just fun and games for me. None of these are finals. Just a bunch of drafts. A greeting card design using an illustration I had not been happy with until now. I hope this gets accepted on CardCub! So I just finished a shirt design I'm gonna submit to TeeFury, probably my favorite daily shirt website. That's what is above. TeeFury is big on the pop-culture shirts and even more, the pop-cult mash ups, so I thought this would make the perfect TeeFury shirt! Oh, if you didn't know it's of the children's show Yo Gabba Gabba! (Created by The Aquabat's M.C. Bat Commander) and, you guessed it, Star Wars. Maybe they'll print it! Who knows? It'd be totally cool if they did. *fingers crossed* Next are two incomplete shirt designs I was going to make for my school. There ended up not being enough time for the projects so they were scrapped. I like where they were going and who knows, I might send them over to the new graphic designer to finish. I'd like to see them printed. So, I've figured I need to diversify my portfolio. Or more bluntly put it, show I can draw more things than just bug eyed googly armed cartoons. So this is the beginning of bucking that trend. More to come. Soonish. Not that I'll abandon cartoons. That's kinda what I do. It's just a necessary thing to exercise my drawing muskels. And, I have to admit, its refreshing to draw realistically! So worked in this last year and never got around to posting this up until know. It was made during my internship in the whimsical land of Shawnimals. They let me work on some pretty awesome stuff there. Being able to walk away with something like this in my portfolio was pretty neat. Also, I love pins. |
